The Correct Order of Finishing Works — Modern Sequence

For a high-quality home-finishing project, work must follow the right sequence so one job doesn't damage another. Here's the modern 16-step order we follow at Besufkad.

1. Wall inspection & preparation
- •Seal any cracks in the walls.
- •Straighten uneven walls and edges.
- •Clean the entire building.
2. Plumbing (rough-in)
- •Install water supply pipes.
- •Install drainage pipes.
- •Install toilet & bathroom plumbing.
- •Pressure-test all water lines before closing walls.
3. Electrical (first fix)
- •Install conduits, back-boxes and breaker box.
- •Pull wiring where appropriate.
- •Run internet, TV and security-camera lines.
4. Gypsum board work
- •Install Chinese or local gypsum board.
- •Prepare lighting positions.
5. Wall skim (chuck / putty)
- •Chuck for interior walls.
- •Putty for exterior walls.
- •Allow proper drying time.
6. Floor screed
- •Let it dry completely.
7. Waterproofing
- •Bathrooms.

- •Balconies.
- •Kitchens (if needed).
- •Water tanks.
8. Wall ceramic work

9. Floor tiles / ceramic

10. Painting
